RACZYŃSKI LIBRARY
The Raczyński Library is a self-governing cultural institution of the City of Poznań. According to the statute, « it serves to meet the needs of reading and information, and to disseminate knowledge and cultural achievements; conducts research and publishing activities; organizes reading, with particular emphasis on the needs of children, youth and people with disabilities; popularizes books and reading; cooperates with other libraries and cultural, educational, scientific institutions, and organizations
and associations in developing and meeting the cultural needs of society ”. Library services are provided in a modern building and 39 branches in Poznań. The library’s structure includes three literary museums: Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówny’s Flat-Workshop, Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Literary Museum, and Józef Ignacy Kraszewski’s Studio-Museum. In the headquarters and branches, we promote reading, organize exhibitions and literary meetings. The free offer of the Raczyński Library is available to readers of all ages.
